Our Social Economy Team has 5 business advisors with a wide range of experience in business and organisational development who will be pleased to assist where they can.

Organisational Review/Health Check

to enable organisations to understand their strengths, needs and risks in such areas as strategy, development, operations, management, finance, policies, systems including data collation, monitoring, etc.

Development and Business Planning

to plan and map the way forward for new and existing organisations; produce development report/business plan documents and financial projections.

Market Planning

to forward plan your marketing over a period of time including: identifying customers and their needs; identifying specific marketing milestones and the resources and funds necessary to meet your marketing objectives;  raising the profile of your organisation with stakeholders; increasing awareness of your organisation with potential funding bodies; use of technology in marketing such as web site and e-mailing.

Accessing Funding

to prepare a budget to clearly set out what you need funding for, how much you need and over what period of time; identify funding opportunities including income generation, loan finance and grant funding; identify appropriate funding sources and advise in the preparation of tailored funding applications.

Training Needs Analysis

to ascertain the key skills required within an organisation to meet current and/or future development needs; establish current skills levels within the organisation; identify critical skills gaps, training needs and opportunities.

Legal Entity / Charitable Status

to inform new and existing organisations of options, responsibilities, benefits and risks relating to various legal entities such as constituted group, limited company, trust, etc; assist existing organisations to change their legal entity at an appropriate time(for example, constituted group to limited company); assist in establishing charitable status in keeping with charitable regulations.

Organisational Policies

To develop policies to meet the specific organisational and operational needs of organisations in areas such as Health & Safety, Volunteering, Equal Opportunities, Personnel Guidance/Human Resource, etc.

Service Level Agreements

to provide advice and assistance to help organisations prepare and enter into service level agreements for the delivery of services between organisations either as purchaser or provider of services.

Feasibility Studies

to establish the viability, risks and sustainability of innovative new developments such as new services, new products, etc.

Capacity building / skills development needs

to strengthen the collective internal skills and knowledge of an organisation’s  board/committee members, staff and volunteers for both current and future organisational needs.
